The marine industry has a new first aid and medical training solution with the official launch of Australian company Marine Medical Solutions.

Providing world-class training courses and medical equipment relevant to the marine industry, Marine Medical Solutions has tailor-made offerings for Superyachts, commercial operators, cruising and racing vessels as well as marine businesses.

Based on the Gold Coast and servicing Australia wide and beyond, Marine Medical Solutions ensures marine professionals are prepared for any eventuality with scenario-based first aid training onboard their own vessel or in their place of business, with their own crew and using their own equipment.

The company's website is also a one-stop shop for medical supplies and equipment for Australian and International vessels, including medical kit upgrades.

Director and Founder Wendy Sullivan works in the field as a medic with a background in Marine Rescue. She also holds a Master Class V Ship's Captain qualification and has previously worked as a commercial yacht skipper.

"Our extensive background working across all types of vessels over the last decade has shown a noticeable gap in the Australian marine industry for specific first aid and medical emergency training" Wendy said. "There has also been increasing demand for a marine specific website where you can easily order your marine first aid and medical equipment."

"We have the expertise to provide bespoke training programs and supplies to address the unique scenarios faced while working on and around the water or cruising for pleasure" she said.

Marine Medical Solutions compares the training needs against regulations, best-practice, and budget requirements, assisting each vessel or marine business to devise an effective emergency response plan and personalised selection of appropriate equipment. This is then tested through realistic, simulated exercises that challenge crew and test ability to respond.

Nationally recognised training courses include Advanced First Aid, Marine First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation as well as CPR and First Aid, using state-of-the-art equipment for greater realism and better outcomes.

The company's medical supply shop includes a range of marine first aid kits, waterproof first aid kits, defibrillators, oxygen kits, bleeding control kits and medical kit upgrades.

Established sister company Heart Training offers high quality first aid courses to various industries and a range of professional businesses. Marine Medical Solutions has been developed to specifically cover all applications in the marine industry.
