Whether you're a seasoned boating enthusiast or a shore-bound spectator, there's plenty to whet your appetite for aquatic adventure as the much-loved 53rd Sydney International Boat Show returns for 2022.

Tickets are now on sale for the five-day celebration of everything in, on and around the water from 28 July to 1 August 2022 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney and Cockle Bay in Sydney's Darling Harbour.

The Sydney International Boat Show is a must-attend marine extravaganza, attracting more than 60,000 visitors to Australia's largest recreational boating lifestyle event.

This year's event is a seawater spectacular guaranteed to entice visitors of all ages and interests with hundreds of boats on show, world and Australian premieres, sneak peeks, cutting-edge gear and gadgets, and showstopping entertainment.

The Sydney show will debut a new look with live attractions and more interactive lifestyle offerings including in-pool demonstrations and family-friendly entertainment on the 5000sqm open-air Event Deck, fishing demonstrations, cooking tips and marine education on the Main Stage and roving entertainers adding to the festive atmosphere.

Early bird single-day general admission tickets can be purchased online from $25 with single-day general admission tickets available for $29.50 at the gates. There is free entry for children aged under 16 years.

All early bird ticket-buyers automatically go into a draw to win a Gourmet Hunter Valley Escape for them and seven friends at Bimbadgen Estate including two nights of luxury accommodation, exclusive dining experiences and private wine tastings valued at $6200.

A new level of corporate hospitality and visitor experience abounds with the launch of The Harbour Lounge, a brand-new VIP precinct aboard the 60m superyacht The Jackson moored in the iconic Darling Harbour.

The Harbour Lounge offers guests a private haven and a taste of the superyacht life and is ideal for entertaining clients or enjoying an unforgettable experience with friends.

The exclusive precinct is the first time in the event's 53-year history that visitors have been offered such a rare on-water vantage point to enjoy all the action.

The Boating Industry Association (BIA) and Mulpha Events, owner-operators of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, have partnered to deliver the event.

"The Sydney International Boat Show is back with a refreshed look and a raft of new initiatives for 2022 that will surprise and delight seasoned showgoers and attract new visitors interested in all aspects of the boating lifestyle," BIA President Andrew Fielding said.

"The Sydney show is shaping up as a break-through year, after missing the last two years due to a pandemic. Boating has proven a standout choice in recreational leisure for people across Australia and this event will be a fantastic showcase of all things boating."

The Australian International Dive Expo also returns to the event this year, giving visitors two shows for the price of one.

Visit the Halls of the ICC for an interesting and educational deep dive into the underwater world of scuba diving, boating, innovative technologies, ocean conservation and more.

Mulpha Events General Manager Johan Hasser said Sydney International Boat Show is an eagerly anticipated event for exhibitors, boaters and new visitors, whether they're powerboaters, paddlers, sailors or wave-watchers.

"We are thrilled by the wave of interest buzzing within the industry and look forward to delivering a unique event that is quintessentially Sydney and puts Sydney International Boat Show back on the map," Mr Hasser said.

"Darling Harbour is set to come alive this July with boatloads of activity and is the ideal location to drop anchor and stay and play in Sydney to soak up all that the event has to offer."

The Sydney International Boat Show will partner with leading marine publication Trade-A-Boat to create the 2022 Show Guide, a comprehensive keepsake and stylish glossy publication, which will be available online and at the Show.

"Trade-A-Boat is Australia's leading authority on boats and marine products, so we welcome the opportunity to bring the Sydney International Boat Show to life. This year's publication will have a fresh new design and iconic content and we are proud to partner with the event to help celebrate the wonderful world of boating," Trade-A-Boat CEO Rob Gallagher said.

The 53rd Sydney International Boat Show is on from 28 July - 1 August 2022, at the ICC Sydney & Cockle Bay, proudly supported by Partner in Safety - Transport for NSW. Tickets are on sale now via sydneyboatshow.com.au.
