Tiara Yachts encourages support of Great Lakes Boat Building School to develop marine workforce

In the face of the pandemic, the marine industry has faced several challenges, including supply chain and workforce disruptions. In a letter penned by Tiara Yachts President and CEO Tom Slikkers, Slikkers makes note of these business challenges – specifically highlighting workforce challenges – and encourages greater industry support of the Great Lakes Boat Building School (GLBBS).

GLBBS aims to set students up with the skills needed for rewarding careers, while also tackling a daunting challenge that is currently being faced by Tiara Yachts and other businesses in the marine industry; developing strong employees who are highly prepared in the marine trades.

Tiara Yachts has invested in both the GLBBS capital campaign to expand the size of the school, as well as two sponsorships for students going forward.
