While the Seawork Exhibition is in full swing, the Women in the Marine Industry Event will once again be sponsored by Barton Marine and take place at 16.00 on Wednesday afternoon in the Maritime Journal VIP Lounge.

Barton is proud to enable networking opportunities for women in the industry, providing marine peers time and space to share their stories and career pathways, to encourage everyone to overcome challenges and embrace the possibilities of achieving personal goals within the industry.

This year's speaker is Chrissie Clarke, Head of Diversity and Operations, as well as Secretary to the Maritime Skills Commission, at Maritime UK. Chrissie has dual citizenship in the UK and Australia and has built up a strong track record of promoting innovative diversity strategies to level up the playing field for all in the marine sector. She will share insights about her career path and how she landed with Maritime UK after 12 years working for government, property and the mining sectors in Australia.

Alongside the talk, come and meet colleagues from across the commercial marine sector, share nibbles and drinks, hear about key industry developments and expand your network of connections. Sign up for Seawork (it's free to attend) and add the Women in Marine Industry event to your schedule here

Remember, after a two-year recess due to Covid, this year's face to face event is scheduled on Wednesday 22 June at 4pm in the Maritime Journal VIP Lounge.

Whilst at the show, make sure to stop by and meet the Barton Marine Team on stand B29. Explore the range of new marine equipment on display and review new applications for the commercial marine sector. To find out more about Barton Marine, visit www.bartonmarine.com.
