Family-owned boat builder KingFisher Boats has been recognized for safety excellence from the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC.

The Joint Health and Safety Award was a recognition provided due to the efforts of the KingFisher Boats safety committee, who meet regularly to highlight and prevent workplace injuries.

The Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC recognizes manufacturers for health and safety excellence—these awards support partnering with BC's industry leaders to achieve cultural change that ensures safe workplaces for all employees.

KingFisher Boats has recently announced a facilities expansion with two new purpose-built buildings to support record market demand including a dedicated space for product development to lead innovation. The expansion also creates jobs in the greater Vernon area with new positions to become available over the next year.
