Anthesis Group, the world's largest group of dedicated sustainability professionals, has appointed Ollie Taylor as an Associate Director, responsible for spearheading the growth of its MarineShift360 Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) sustainability tool.

The MarineShift360 tool was developed by 11th Hour Racing, in collaboration with Anthesis, for marine designers, manufacturers, boat builders and engineers. This intuitive software tool enables users to evaluate and compare materials and processes, investigate alternatives, and drive innovation as well as positive, sustainable change throughout the whole product life cycle.

Ollie joins the MarineShift360 team having spent the last 13 years working across the commercial functions of a number of leading sail and power boat brands including Williams Jet Tenders and Fairline Yachts

Commenting on his appointment, Ollie said: "MarineShift360 is a game-changing solution for the marine industry. I am incredibly excited about my new role and blending my passion for corporate responsibility with the opportunity to work with partners to help progress long-term sustainability goals across the whole industry."

Craig Simmons, Chief Technology and Metrics Officer and transatlantic sailor, added: "We are delighted to welcome Ollie to the team. He brings with him a huge wealth of marine industry experience and is passionate about sustainability - all which will be a real benefit to MarineShift360 and our partner brands."

Built as a web-based application, MarineShift360 is intuitive and easy to use, enabling marine businesses to fully understand the environmental footprint of products and processes by quickly assessing their impact, whether individual marine components or a whole yacht. By identifying efficiencies, the LCA tool allows users to reduce environmental impact and costs without compromising performance, all at the touch of a button.

To evaluate MarineShift360 in a real-life setting before launch, a diverse range of businesses, from performance to production, rigging, sails and deck hardware, acted as pilot partners and provided invaluable feedback. Pilot partners included: Philippe Briand Ltd, Briand Yacht Design, GAC Pindar, 11th Hour Racing Team, Syroco, Gsea Design, Princess Yachts Ltd, Doyle Sails, Arksen, Group Beneteau and OneSails.
