The 2022 Hamilton Island Race Week, returning after a two-year hiatus due to Covid, is due to start on Saturday 20 August. Nautilus Marine Insurance is thrilled to be supporting this event with 'Hammo' being on the bucket list of sailors all over Australia and around the world.

From insuring pleasure craft to commercial vessels, the marinas they operate from, and high-performance racing yachts, Nautilus Marine Insurance has the industry and its community covered. Such an event as this regatta showcases the resilience of the industry and the enthusiasm for sailing as a sport, and as a lifestyle.

As a Queensland local and active boater Chris Dobson, Head of Underwriting Private Pleasurecraft at Nautilus Marine Insurance, said, "I could not be prouder to be involved in such a popular international event held here in Queensland. We make a point of supporting the passion of sailors all over Australia with our expertise and this event brings the community together in a way that few other events can. I look forward to catching up with the competitors, their friends, and their family throughout the week."

As well as supporting the whole of the 2022 Hamilton Island Race Week, Nautilus Marine Insurance are also the key partner of the Skipper's Welcome Function, and the full day of racing on Tuesday 23rd August.

The Tuesday will feature the Nautilus Marine Insurance Classic Long Race, the Nautilus Marine Insurance Classic Medium Distance Race, and the Short Around-the-Islands Race, with over 200 yachts on the water to compete for the glory, trophies, and boasting rights. The evening will be full of activities with food stalls along front street, and bands providing entertainment on the main stage.

Nautilus Marine Insurance CEO Lyndon Turner was also quick to point out, "Our team will be available the whole week to answer any questions people may have. We are there to support the event, celebrate sailing, and to ensure it can be the best possible showcase of our vibrant industry."

Nautilus Marine Insurance will have a marquee opposite the Marina Tavern for the duration of Hamilton Island Race Week. Make sure you swing past and say hello.
