TecnoRib at the Genoa Boat Show with Pirelli 50 and Pirelli 35

by TecnoRib 21 Sep 2022 07:26 PDT 22-27 September 2022

TecnoRib, official licensee for the Pirelli rib brand, will take part in the Genoa Boat Show from 22 to 27 September, where it will display the complete outboard version of its Walkarounds: the Pirelli 35, winner of the Red Dot Design Award, Pirelli 42 and Pirelli 50, all with Mercury engines.

The longest maxirib boat at the event, the Pirelli 50 will make its debut in Italy after its success at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival, and two versions will be on display in the water: one extremely customised version at the Sacs Tecnorib stand, and the second at the Mercury Marine stand.

The three Pirelli models, designed by Mannerfelt Design Team, are made for versatile use and were created to conquer the hearts of boat enthusiasts who seek excellent performance and refined design. They will be available for in-water trials at the Sacs Tecnorib stand, while a second example of the Pirelli 50 will be on display in the water at the Mercury Marine stand at quay A.

The entry model in the range is the Pirelli 35, which will be present in Genoa with outboard motors. It is the winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2022, one of the most important awards in the world, decided on by a jury 50 international experts of design each year for the last 30 years. Equipped with a pair of Mercury engines with 300 horsepower each (optional sterndrive engines), this model ensures high performance and remarkable stability on the water in varying weather and sea conditions. Driving is comfortable and protected, while the interiors include a convertible dinette and separate bathroom (on request).

Pirelli 42, the first model in the range to be launched in 2020, is 13.1 meters long by 4.1 meters wide and allows the maximum freedom of movement on board: a single central block also incorporates the bow sun deck, allowing a clear passageway forward, with the roller, which hides the anchor winch, and a sofa facing the stern. The bow and stern areas offer a solarium and living area with a dining table and sofa, while the lower deck features a convertible dinette and bathroom. It can accommodate engines of different powers, and the model on display in Genoa will have a double Mercury outboard engine with 450 horsepower each.

Lastly, the flagship Pirelli 50 represents the conclusion of the highly-desired modernisation process of the TecnoRib Speedboats line, which has seen the debut of three models in three years. After the world premiere at this year's Cannes Motor Show, it will now be presented for the first time in Italy.

The layout includes large outdoor spaces both fore and aft, where it is possible to spend most of the day in full relaxation in its sunbathing area and full dining area, while offering great freedom of movement and maximum comfort. The driving area is in a raised position for greater visibility and features a helm station with three seats. The lower deck offers surprising comfort, with a refined dinette, double cabin and elegant bathroom. This model can also accommodate engines of different powers: the extremely customised model present in Genoa will be equipped with a pair of Mercury outboards of 600 horsepower each, which allow the boat to reach a maximum speed of 50 knots.

TecnoRib joined Sacs in December 2021 to create Sacs Tecnorib, one of the largest producers of maxi ribs and superboats in Italy, with approximately 50 million in turnover.

TecnoRib will be at the Genoa Boat Show from 22 to 27 September at stand H209
