The World's First Wireless Load Pin for Sailing Yachts has caught the eye of the METSTRADE Jury

Fresh from its launch last month, the world's first Wireless Load Pin for sailing yachts has moved one step closer to the ultimate seal of approval in the marine industry, having been shortlisted for the DAME Design Award.

Cyclops Marine's ground-breaking innovation in performance and safety is the latest in their line of Wireless Load Sensors, standing out as it takes a well-established piece of technology, originally developed for the America's Cup, and revolutionises it for the 21st century sailor.

Providing race teams with acute performance insights that allow them to optimise their rigs and win races, with live data in-race, and a wealth of logged data for performance-analysis, the Wireless Pin also provides critical safety information that allows sailors to prevent catastrophic rig failure due to overloading. Pins are compatible with most major marine instruments and also pair with a smartphone app, displaying data in multiple user-friendly formats, optimised for safety or performance.

The world's largest marine design competition has been whittled down to 6 innovations in the Deck Equipment, Sails and Rigging category, in which Cyclops' game-changing pin will compete at METSTRADE - Marine Equipment Trade Show. The wireless pin will also compete against 47 nominated entries from across all design categories for the overall DAME Design Award.
