The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is pleased to announce that within days of the launch of its Superyacht Ready accreditation, seven marinas have successfully been accredited.

The first seven Superyacht Ready marinas are:

  • Birkenhead Point Marina, Sydney, NSW
  • Coral Sea Marina Resort, Airlie Beach, QLD
  • Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard, Gold Coast, QLD
  • Jones Bay Marina, Sydney, NSW
  • ONE degrees15 Marina Sentosa Cove, Singapore
  • Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay, Sydney's Northern Beaches, NSW
  • Sanctuary Cove Marina, Gold Coast, QLD

In announcing the newly accredited marinas, Suzanne Davies, MIA CEO said, "It was great to see such enthusiasm and support from industry for the accreditation. To have seven marinas submit their applications within days of the release shows the value industry sees in the Gold Anchor and Superyacht Ready accreditations. We have also had interest from a number of international marinas and it is great that ONE degrees15 Marina Sentosa Cove in Singapore has been accredited."

Superyacht Ready is available to Global Gold Anchor accredited marinas that satisfy the program's assessment standards. The Superyacht Ready criteria is based around the suitability of the marina's infrastructure to accommodate superyachts, accessibility for superyachts, security measures and service availability.

Davies also commented, "All Gold Anchor accredited marinas are invited to apply to become Superyacht Ready. For those marinas that are not yet part of the Gold Anchor program, an independent audit can be arranged within weeks for a rated assessment, alternatively the self-assessed Gold Anchor accreditation is the simplest and quickest way to join the program."

Superyacht Ready will be supported by the MIA's My Marina Guide, a map-based, online marine services directory, that will enable captains to identify these Superyacht Ready marinas based on their needs at a specific time and delve further into a marina's facilities and offerings.
