TIMEZERO has renewed its partnership with the Clipper Race, returning for a fourth consecutive edition as the Official Navigation Software Supplier for the global yacht race.

The eleven strong fleet of 70 ft ocean racing yachts will once again be equipped with TIMEZERO Professional, the most advanced of TIMEZERO's suite of navigation products, for the 40,000 nm circumnavigation. Whether the yachts are navigating tricky tropical waters around Central America, or making the most of big weather systems in the North Pacific to break record boat speeds, TZ Professional's renowned routing features such as the Weather Routing Module will be critical to strategy. Skippers will have access to cutting-edge features to decide whether to select the shortest or fastest route, read the ever-changing weather conditions and keep track of the competition.

The TIMEZERO solution is the result of more than 30 years of innovation and development in marine navigation technology for any level of sailor. Offering the widest range of possibilities, TZ Professional will not only be used by Clipper Race Skippers for maximising their team's performance, but will also be utilised by the event's Race Office to plan the route the yachts will take on the circumnavigation.

Dale Smyth, Deputy Clipper Race Director comments: "TIMEZERO is immensely practical from both a racing and safety perspective. Having the ability with the software to overlay weather forecasts with the yacht's performance data really helps our Skippers to make competitive routing decisions and also navigate the yachts safely through extreme conditions."

"From a planning point of view here in the Race Office, we use it all the time not only for planning the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race route but also for calculating the times of arrival for the fleet into each destination.

"We find that the technology is very intuitive and really assists you in planning and tactics. The layout and design of the software is so user friendly, and the support we've received from TIMEZERO with regard to teaching and training has been fantastic."

Over the previous three editions of partnership with the Clipper Race, TIMEZERO has maximised the global opportunity and unique environment that the Clipper Race offers. TIMEZERO has provided in-depth and bespoke training to the Clipper Race Skippers and First Mates so that they can utilise the software to its optimum in planning tactics, analysing weather, and ensuring that safety is paramount. The feedback gained from the Race Skippers and First Mates is hugely valuable for TIMEZERO to continually develop their products for all markets. Furthermore, the company has created unique content, captured on board the event's 70 ft yachts racing across the world's oceans, amplifying its online marketing as well as hosting corporate activations.

Frederic Algalarrondo, from TIMEZERO said: "We are happy to be part of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race adventure for a fourth consecutive edition! The Clipper Race offers us a great opportunity to showcase our cutting-edge technology to professional and non-professional sailors all around the world. It's also an amazing way to educate people about boating, sailing, racing and show that technology can be accessible to everyone."

TIMEZERO offers both the recreational sailor and ocean racer a range of navigation products, for all types of marine navigation, from weekend cruising to offshore passages.
