A proud ambassador for all boaters and boat builders, Quintrex takes the lead in supporting an allinclusive, diverse workforce, evolving the industry by strengthening the representation of women in marine.

As a leader in the Australian marine industry, recognised for its world-class products hand-built from its team of 400 employees, Quintrex epitomises not only top-quality boating but, a top-quality workforce and environment.

Simultaneously as the world celebrates International Women's Day, Quintrex celebrates its team of dedicated and diverse individuals, taking deliberate actions towards providing an inclusive and supportive workplace for all races, genders, and identifications.

Doubling its number of female employees within the last 12 months, the brand proudly announces the progress in making tangible change within marine, whilst recognising the lengths ahead to continue evolving the industry.

A traditionally male-dominated industry, with the Australian government recording that only 2% of boat builders and shipwrights identifying as female, the business is invested in a strategic plan to continue seeing the growth of female representation in marine.

Quintrex's fundamental diversity plan aligns with parent company, Bombardier Recreational Product's (BRP) strategic activations, with investments in a dedicated Diversity, Equity and Inclusion journey, Global Women Employee Resource Group and more, all established as proactive means in further nurturing the company's global portfolio of brands movement towards the industry's most inclusive working environments.

"Quintrex has always been invested in leading the industry, not only with products but as a leader in the workplace, extending from the working conditions, opportunities available, staff perks and inclusiveness," Zoe Binger, Quintrex Human Resources Manager said.

"We are proud of how far we have come and our actions towards joining the greater BRP statistics, which surpass industry standards, with 29% of the company's workforce identifying as a woman,"

"While we still have a long way to go, we can already see how we're changing the industry and our sights are set on continual growth, with aspirations to double our representation of women in the Quintrex workforce within the next five-years."

Quintrex currently upholds female representation across most business facets and manufacturing specialties, from weld, to fit-out, metal works, transport, fabrication, and administration, with some employees exceeding a tenure of 30 years.

Natalie Becker started her employment journey with Quintrex at the ripe age of 18 as Office Junior. After 33-years with the company, she has worked her way through nearly all facets of the business to her current role as Business Intelligence expert. Natalie says her three-decade strong tenure comes down to the opportunities and diversity of roles available.

"I might have worked for one employer for 30+ years, but I've had a variety of jobs without needing to move on to do that," Natalie said. "Working at Quintrex has variety, it's busy, and there's always something going on. I feel like respect is shown, contributions are valued, and there is a sense of fairness."

"Combined with a good bunch of people, a good atmosphere, the fact that the company tries to grow and improve, all of that makes it generally enjoyable."

It is a family built from generations of boat building, founded as a family-owned company, and thriving into the largest boat manufacturer in the country. The Quintrex family continues to grow, progressively welcoming in new faces with great opportunities.

For Sapphire Iremonger and Helena Kerr, both five-month employees at Quintrex, the business culture has not only offered a place to thrive, but learn and be part of a team.

"I really enjoy working for Quintrex, there's many opportunities for everyone, it's a company striving to constantly improve and grow and are focused on safety and employee and customer satisfaction. I love how much support there is from the supervisors and anyone in a position at Quintrex, they've all been welcoming and supportive to my wellbeing. It's a relief to have that kind of support at your workplace, Sapphire Iremonger, Metal Prep and Operations Quintrex said.

"I thoroughly enjoy the work life balance that working at Quintrex provides me as a solo mother. Everyone in my time has been so welcoming and helpful and the transport department made me feel part of the team straight away," Helena Kerr, Quintrex Transport said.

Quintrex has established its industry leading reputation due to the quality of product, build and its dedication in continuing to evolve the boating world with new innovations, and new norms.

Each boat has been strategically, designed and engineered then tested by a dedicated team of research and development professionals, before being hand built on the Gold Coast by the industry's best boat builders.

With world-class boats comes a world class team and business acumen, grounded by excellence as Australia's most sought-after aluminium boat brand since its conception in 1945.

"Working here is like being part of a large family - where people matter," Ann Godfrey, Quintrex receptionist said.

Now owned and operated by BRP, global leader in powersports, the opportunities are magnified with the company's international footprint.
