METSTRADE, the world's renowned platform where the leisure marine industry comes together, and The Foiling Organization, the international association for the foiling industry and its professionals, announced a new partnership during the Foiling Awards prize-giving ceremony held yesterday in Milan.

The partnership will lead to the first ever Foiling Technology Pavilion, to be featured during METSTRADE 2023 (15-17 November) in hall 7, to showcase manufacturers of foiling hardware and technology and to educate trade visitors.

With confirmed exhibitors such as Caponnetto Hueber, Foil Chemy and Vakaros, the FTP will showcase the impressive progress made with high-end racing technology towards adoption on mainstream series-produced yachts and boats. The pavilion will serve as a one stop shop for boat builders and designers who want to know more about what is involved in employing foiling within sail and power yachts of the immediate future. Sampling the state-of-the-art of the foiling industry worldwide, it will also feature a knowledge stage for discussion on all the trending topics in the sector.

Luca Rizzotti, Founder of The Foiling Organization and Founder and President of We Are Foiling events ecosystem states: "Foiling is changing the water mobility system. The decarbonisation targets set by the EU, the UN and the IMO, make foiling an almost obligatory choice for new leisure and commercial applications. The astonishing number of projects for the transport of people, goods and containers is there to prove it."

"I am confident that the Foiling Technology Pavilion will provide a major boost to accelerate innovation and economic growth in the foiling segment to the satisfaction of all of those who will have the opportunity to take part in this showcase."

Niels Klarenbeek, METSTRADE Show Director, adds: "With the Foiling Technology Pavilion we cannot wait to unveil the latest of our forward-thinking feature areas and we anticipate wide interest from visitors and exhibitors alike. METSTRADE has been at the forefront of providing a significant knowledge platform to highlight the developments that will move our industry's essential decarbonisation efforts from ambition to reality. It is a logical progression for us to take a leading role in partnership with The Foiling Organization to encourage the mainstream adoption of a technology that has such great potential to reduce energy consumption while increasing the pleasure of those who go afloat."
