Tocaro Blue is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated return to the upcoming International Boatbuilders' Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) in Tampa. With two years of remarkable progress since its last appearance, the company is set to unveil an array of groundbreaking advancements, particularly with its industry-changing PROTEUS platform.

PROTEUS marks a significant leap forward in advancements in Tocaro Blue's Autonomous Maritime Navigation Technology. PROTEUS combines inputs from commonly available onboard sensors, navigational datasets, and a patent-pending artificial intelligence/machine learning model to create a 360-degree sphere of awareness around the vessel.

The system transforms a traditional chart plotter into realistic and accurate depictions of boats, buoys, navigational markers, and other significant objects on the water.

Users can toggle between three separate views: the Traditional Overhead Map View, First Person View, and Virtual 3D View. PROTEUS ensures that mariners of all levels have access to comprehensive, intuitive, and accurate information, setting the benchmark for its ease of use.

After almost three years of research and development work on PROTEUS, we've achieved substantial advancements in precision, dependability, and user experience," explained Tristan Rizzi, President of Tocaro Blue. "PROTEUS is poised to revolutionize maritime navigation with a dynamic 3D Display that offers precise real-time vessel tracking, intelligent boat classifications, buoy, marker positioning, and comprehensive insights above and below the waterline, elevating safety and empowerment across maritime environments.

The PROTEUS system is unique because it does not require expensive camera/optical-based sensors to detect, classify, and track objects on the water. PROTEUS functions with the existing onboard RADAR, making it plug-and-play ready. The product was also designed to support over-the-air upgrades. While the current software build supports Level 1 Autonomy, with features to assist the captain, the underlying technology will become an essential part of the tech stack for fully autonomous boats.

Tocaro Blue's commitment to marine innovation is further evident in its Enhanced Fleet Management Solutions. For boat club and rental fleet operators, Tocaro Blue's Signalman monitoring product offers tools for business owners and the ability to share the same features with the renters with temporary access during the rental period without requiring a user to download an app.

Geo-fences, return alerts, weather alerts, and battery monitoring are included with the device. The Signalman's intelligent power management logic virtually eliminates battery drain.

"We are excited to showcase our advancements at IBEX 2023," added Rizzi. "Our dedication to innovation and customer service drives us to exceed expectations and take fleet management solutions to new heights."

Join Tristan and the entire Tocaro Blue team at IBEX 2023 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL, October 3-5, 2023. Attendees are invited to explore the Tocaro Blue exhibit on the 3rd Floor at Booth #3-1918, where they can learn about the revolutionary PROTEUS platform, see the latest innovations in remote boat monitoring, get details on the intelligent Fleet and Marina Business Solutions, and discover how Tocaro Blue is shaping the future of the boating industry.
