Flat water, 10 knots of breeze and 20 degrees of air temperature provided spectacular sailing conditions for the start of the 3,000 mile oceanic race.

The race starts at Marina Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands and finishes at Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina, Grenada.

The race is organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club in association with the International Maxi Association & Yacht Club de France. It forms part of the Royal Ocean Racing Club's Season Points Championships, the world's largest offshore racing series, which for 2024 includes the RORC Caribbean 600, Roschier Baltic Sea Race, and the Rolex Middle Sea Race.
