The Italian Marine Industry Association, Confindustria Nautica, is present at this year's edition of the Miami International Boat Show, one of the world's most relevant events when it comes to the international yachting scene, in which Italian companies maintain their position as industry leaders.

Among the businesses championing the Made in Italy brand overseas are the exhibitors taking part in the business delegation organised by the Italian Marine Industry Association in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency.

"The Miami Boat Show confirms its role as a reference point for our companies, which see the US market as their main destination for exports," stated the President of the Italian Marine Industry Association, Saverio Cecchi. "Italy is the world's number one producer of yachts over 24 metres, the world's number one producer of inflatable units over 10 metres, and the world's number one producer of boating equipment. We are also the world's leading exporter of boats with a global share of 18.3%. In 2022 the US consolidated its position as the main importer of yachting units produced in Italy, with a 57% increase on the previous year".

With Italy's participation in Miami, the US event will also see the presentation of the ICOMIA 2025 World Marinas Conference, which will be held by the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) in Venice from 15th to 17th October 2025 at the Venezia Certosa Marina, owned by Vento di Venezia Srl, a member company of the Italian Marinas Association and Italian Marine Industry Association.

"Following the ICOMIA and IFBSO conference last year in Sanremo, it is a great source of pride to know that the world organisation of marine industries has once again chosen Italy to host the World Marinas Conference in 2025," commented Roberto Perocchio, Councillor and President of the "Nautical Tourism, Marinas and Dedicated Services" segment of the Italian Marine Industry Association. "The organisation's decision confirms its acknowledgement of the strategic role played by the Italian marine industry on the international stage and will represent a key opportunity to shine a global spotlight on the marina services we can provide and the entire Italian recreational boating industry".

The next events on the Italian Marine Industry Association's 2024 calendar for international promotional initiatives supporting Italian businesses and the 64th Genoa International Boat Show will be the Dubai International Boat Show (28th February - 3rd March 2024), the CLIA Cruise Week Europe in Genoa from 11th to 14th March, NYCxDESIGN scheduled to take place from 16th to 23rd May in New York, SMM Hamburg from 3rd to 6th September, the IBEX Show in Tampa from 1st to 3rd October, the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show (30th October - 3rd November), and METSTRADE in Amsterdam from 19th to 21st November.
