Capt. Jeremy Carter has found that boaters in the Dallas/Fort Worth region need a little on-water help for routine issues every now and then, and he's happy to provide it day or night.

His recreational boat towing company has locations on Lake Lewisville and Lake Ray Roberts, and he has now expanded on-water assistance to Lake Grapevine. His TowBoatUS ports, which provide 24/7 on-water towing, ungrounding, battery jump and fuel drop-off services, are part of a nationwide network of more than 300 TowBoatUS ports that responded to more than 90,000 requests for on-water assistance last year.

"There's a need for help with routine breakdowns and towing on Lake Grapevine," said Capt. Carter, a former public safety swiftwater rescue team member. "I'm hoping that having professional towing assistance on the lake for the first time allows our local first responders and emergency services more time to focus on their critical lifesaving roles, while TowBoatUS handles the nonemergency issues."

Joining Carter is his wife and business partner, Wanda. The company's towing captains are all U.S. Coast Guard-licensed. The company also keeps an airboat response vessel readily available on a trailer that can help shorten response times.

BoatUS offers on-water Unlimited Towing Memberships for freshwater boaters and anglers for just $109 per year. Included with Unlimited Towing membership are more than 25 Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) benefits and discounts, a subscription to BoatUS Magazine, free DSC-VHF radio registration, and more.

Separate from BoatUS towing services, the company offers boat salvage as well as dive and environmental remediation services.

The fastest way to summon assistance from TowBoatUS Lake Grapevine is to download the free BoatUS App, which connects boaters to the closest local towing captain in less than a minute. Additionally, the company can be reached at 972-757-5004, by hailing on VHF channel 16, or by phoning the BoatUS toll-free 24/7 Dispatch Center at 800-391-4869. More information can be found at BoatUS.com/Towing or by calling 800-888-4869.
