PAINS WESSEX'S NEW PRODUCTS RANGE NOW AVAILABLE

Following the preview of our new Emergency Pack solutions at METS, Pain's Wessex is delighted to announce the availability of our first wave of new products, offering the highest quality manufacturing and trusted brands, from a single source partner with proven global logistics and approvals expertise. 

The new range includes: 
Manufactured to stringent European food quality standards in Wescom Group's new state-of-the-art production facilities in Bremerhaven, Germany, that offers large-scale, highly automated production, the Pains Wessex-branded Emergency Rations & Emergency Drinking Water are approved to the latest 2022 ISO regulations.

Emergency Rations

The Pains Wessex branded Emergency Rations offer:

  • The latest ISO18813:2022 five-year shelf life standard
  • Compact size to minimise freight costs, simplify packing and storage 
  • Lloyds and UCSG approvals 
  • Individually wrapped bars with highest quality ingredients that are vegan, use sustainable palm oil and are free of GMO
  • Robust packaging, product is dropped and tumble tested to ensure durability

Emergency Drinking Water

The Pains Wessex-branded Emergency Drinking Water offer: 
  • Globally approved to meet ISO standard 18813:2022 and directive (EU) 2020/2184.
  • Five-year shelf life standard
  • Manufactured to German hygiene control standards 
  • Packed in nitrogen-rich air and watertight alu-foil to ensure freshness, product is dropped and tumble tested to ensure durability

 

Emergency Rations and Water Logistics

  • 17 x 500g emergency rations per shipping carton (H375mm x W270m x D155MM net 8.5kg gross 9.5kg)
  • 23 x 500ml emergency drinking water per shipping carton (H375mm x W270m x D265MM net 11.5kg gross 12.8kg)

First Aid Medical Kits

The ANP Pharma branded medical Kits are produced in Wescom Group's UK pharmaceutical distribution facilities in Basildon, UK, to enable the development of SOLAS and Category C first aid kits for the marine sector.

SOLAS Medical Kits

Specifically designed to cater to the medical needs of life rafts and lifeboats and approved for use on ships registered outside the EU

  • Type Approvals from Lloyds Register and meets the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) MSN 1905, EC Directive 92/29 regulations
  • Minimum 30-month shelf life 
  • Robust packaging, drop tested to 36 metres to ensure durability

Category C Medical Kits

Intended for vessels operating within a range of less than 60 miles from a port, including lifeboats and commercial life rafts, this medical kit is specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the Code of Practice for small commercial vessels. 

  • Type Approvals from Lloyds Register and meets the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) MSN 1905, EC Directive 92/29 regulations
  • Type Approvals from Lloyds Register
  • Minimum 30-month shelf life 
  • Robust packaging, drop tested to 36 metres to ensure durability

sMRT ALERT AIS DSC Man Overboard Device (MOB) now available

The award winning, UK manufactured sMRT ALERT MOB offers a number of innovations over standard MOBs on the market:

  • Accelerated Detection
The sMRT ALERT features water activation technology that automatically sends DSC distress signals to nearby vessels within 10 seconds. Dual GPS & Galilio GNSS receivers also provide accelerated, highly accurate real-time location coordinates.
  • Ease of Use
With no complex jacket fitting requirements and dual activation methods, the sMRT ALERT is ready for immediate use right out of the box.
  • User Confidence
The sMRT ALERT offers audio and visual indications upon activation and confirmation of the DSC call acknowledgement. Additionally, it includes a beacon management mobile app to verify power, health status, and crew allocation, reassuring users that the device is in proper working order.
  • Future Proof

The sMRT ALERT is designed to meet the Class M 2025 requirements for MOB devices, incorporating GNSS and DSC receivers. This allows for remote deactivation upon confirmation or in the case of a false alarm.
