Dover Marina has been rated as one of the best 300 marinas out of 15,000 across the world. The new Outer Marina, which opened in 2023, has been celebrated by Navily members, particularly the customer service provided and its modern and sustainable facilities.

Navily is the most innovative cruising guide and home to a large online community of boaters with over 300,000 reviews. Dover was rated four stars and above for hospitality, cleanliness, services, shops and tourism, with many mentioning the new shower and toilet facility buildings.

Member reviews said, "great new marina, spacious and welcoming - would highly recommend for a stop-over" and "superb new marina with long pontoons and wide fairways."

Chris Windsor, Marina Manager at the Port of Dover commented:

"We are thrilled to be named as one of the world's top marinas by Navily, which brings together the global berth holder community to share their best travel experiences."

"We are proud to be recognised on such an influential platform and look forward to providing more memories to last a lifetime in the future."

It has been a busy season so far for the marina team with special events, flotillas and charity fundraising visits. With its unrivalled location for cross-channel sailing, and with excellent transport links across Kent and the rest of the UK, Dover Marina is a popular choice for boaters.

Recently, Ocean People travelled to Dover twice with 12 vessels for overnight visits, and another flotilla of 18 vessels sailed in to visit the Royal Cinque Ports Yacht Club last weekend.

The Port also hosted Alex Lewis, the first quadruple amputee to offshore row across the South of England as part of the Pig 2 Pig campaign, rowing 350 miles from Falmouth to Dover on a uniquely adapted boat.

A group of six inspirational female rowers collecting data across 2,000 miles of British coastline also stayed in Dover as part of the GB Row Challenge 2024. Their research will have a big impact on helping to preserve marine environments and wildlife in the future.
