Thierry Lambot, who founded TECMAR thirteen years ago and well known to those involved in the boating industry, handed over to his son Martin a growing company that is now a leading player in the market.

With around thirty brands distributed and more than 3,500 customers, it is on this positive trend that Martin Lambot will implement his ambitions, on the boating market but also on the industry one. To do so, he could count on an experienced team of around twenty employees based at the head office in Sainte-Soulle and Antibes.

One ambition: to preserve Tecmar's DNA while developing in changing markets

At the core of Martin's corporate strategy, reinforce what already does the strength of Tecmar is a priority: technical expertise, quality of the customer service to meet tailor-made needs, and relationships of proximity and trust with the supplier and customer partners.

In a rapidly changing boating market, continuing to increase the technical level of all products and the knowledge of the staff will be a major challenge too.

Another big objective is to make evolve the business model, being more active in the industry market. The new director aims to reach half of the sales revenue with electricity and plumbing products by five years.

Commit to more CSR

Thierry Lambot had anticipated the need to implement more responsible practices within the company. His CSR commitment - with suppliers, customers and employees - was rewarded by a "Bronze Medal" delivered by the Ecovadis label.

On this basis, Martin, who is sensitive to environmental issues, will be able to strengthen Tecmar's CSR policy with his brother Pierre-Philippe Dangaly.

Their next project? To install photovoltaic panels and supply the company's premises with solar energy.

Buying Tecmar, a logical achievement for Martin Lambot, expert in purchasing technical products

After studying international business with a specialization in purchasing and innovation, Martin Lambot quickly moved towards the supply of high value-added products, notably at Total where he was in charge of sourcing electronic components for batteries.

Then he joined Tecmar as purchasing manager. For six years, he gradually expanded the scope of his activities: first with suppliers, then with customers, and finally in the corporate management. The purchase of the company upon his father's retirement thus presented itself as a logical continuation of this development.

More than a decade of growth

After having managed the French branch of the famous manufacturer Lewmar for 26 years, Thierry Lambot took on the new challenge of creating his own company and launched Tecmar in 2011 with his wife and two friends. Since then, the company has continued to develop. With the opening of an Electricity department in 2012 and a Plumbing department in 2018, a network of technical sales representatives located throughout France and the opening of new offices in Antibes (South of France), the company he is selling today to his son is no longer the same as its beginnings !

Martin Lambot: "I will attach great importance to preserving the soul of Tecmar. We have built a real relationship of trust with our customers by mobilizing ourselves every day to provide them tailor-made solutions. Even if I launch new projects, this will remain one of my priorities."

Thierry Lambot: "My personal commitment to ensure the success of Tecmar has always been very important and it is with complete confidence that I hand over the company to my son. His desire to continue with the same values that inspired me is a source of satisfaction and an assurance for our partners that their future collaborations will be successful."
