BIA invited to Queensland Community Cabinet meeting

BIA's Andrew Fielding was invited by the Queensland Premier to Community Cabinet at Bribie Island on July 3 and was given the opportunity to meet with the Minister for Small Business, Training and Education, The Hon. Lance McCallum MP.

The BIA's advocacy and support of the marine industry and small business as well as the ongoing work in jobs, skills and training were discussed at length. The support of the Queensland Government and local councils are vital in ensuring the future success of the marine sector, recognised as a major contributor to the economy.

The BIA has a great relationship with the State government and appreciates the opportunity to brief the Minister and his team on matters that are of particular importance.
