The two-day event organized by the Marche Yachting and Cruising Association (AMYC), the Marche Region and ATIM, EYES, "Envisioning Yachting Excellence Summit", dedicated to a selected group of national and international journalists to discover the excellence of Marche's entrepreneurship and territory has just ended.
The Association, established in 2021, now includes 28 companies in the nautical supply chain and 2 local institutions the Port System Authority of the Central Adriatic Sea and the Marche Polytechnic University with the aim of putting up a united front in relations with local Institutions, to make economies of scale in the educational sphere in relations with Universities and to team up to better compete in international markets.
The common thread of the meetings was the theme of Design, of "beautiful and well made" as a driving and distinctive element of Marche's know-how.
Speaking at the opening press conference in the beautiful setting of Portonovo were the Municipal Councillor for Budget and Deputy Mayor Gianfranco Zinni, who brought greetings from Mayor Daniele Silvetti, and praised luxury shipbuilding as an important source of the Region's economy, ATIM President Marco Bruschini who stressed the importance of creating awareness in the people of Marche in being able to welcome tourists to a Region that offers sea and mountains, in which one can manage time in a unique climate and environment always keeping in mind the need to improve the infrastructure and thus solve problems on mobility, the Councillor for Economic Development Andrea Maria Antonini who stressed how much the Region, through calls for innovation and development, promotion and energy efficiency, supports the Association because it is strategic for the economic and tourism development of the Enterprises (in fact, the nautical sector produces a turnover of 1 billion euros and creates a very important induced activity).
Admiral Maritime Director and Commander of the Port Authority Vincenzo Vitale reiterated how important strong inter-institutional cooperation is while Vincenzo Garofalo President of the Central Adriatic Sea Port System Authority shared with the audience the port's strategic plan that will include homogenizing the available spaces to enhance businesses and allow them to build while remaining in the Region, to support the nautical sector because of its strategic importance both in terms of turnover, employment and growth potential for the future, and to create ad hoc hospitality for boats, guests and crews.
Donatella D'Amico Director of the Regional School Office spoke extensively about the fundamental role of schools, which have been transformed in recent years and which must train highly professionalizing figures who can immediately be introduced into the world of work with precise skills. This is where the ITS Academy comes from: a school that works together with private institutions to get students immediately into the world of work.
Professor Donato Iacobucci of UnivPM also addressed the importance of human capital and training as well as Massimo Rocchi Director of the Marche Region for Vocational Training who insisted on giving immediate and correct answers to the labor market and Companies.
The July 25 forum at Ancona's Teatro Ridotto delle Muse featured outstanding speakers, not only from the nautical sector but from fashion, design and contracting of the highest level, creating interesting and stimulating cross-industry themes.
After a greeting from Gino Sabatini President of the Marche Chamber of Commerce, the panel discussion opened with a talk by Riccardo Bilancioni of Residenza 725 who said, "we can only deal with the uniqueness and exclusivity of products if we can send messages. The product is no longer a reference point but we need to have the right trends and a point of view to communicate."
Continued Francesca Muzio of FM Architettura di Interni, "the client buys the story behind the product, and the intent of FM and my Team is precisely to create culture, to enhance human capital and its talent in a beautiful place that is Marche."
She was echoed by Francesco Beccacece of Massari Design who said, "in our Company it is very important to pay extreme attention and listen to the needs of the client trying to understand their requirements, dreams and needs," and Laura Pomponi of Luxury Projects who extolled the strategic nature in her work of the functional aspects of design and creativity.
Marco Gaspari of Poltrona Frau offered an interesting insight by talking about the history of the company he represents, which since 1912 has made design its source of inspiration when they started out by revisiting a Chester in a more modern key. The beautiful and well-made represents the calling card of the Marche region, and other clear testimonies were Elica, represented by Fabrizio Crisà, Designer, winner of two "Compasso d'Oro", and Gianluca Garofoli of Garofoli Group, who believes strongly in the Region and is personally committed to making the area known.
Important testimony was given by UniMC Chancellor John Mc Court who reiterated that the University must provide fast and critical creative elements to work together with Companies and add value.
Closing the works was the speech of Marche Region Chief of Staff Fabio Pistarelli who brought greetings from President Francesco Acquaroli and confirmed the closeness of the Regional Council to the entire nautical sector in order to bridge the gaps of the past and win the future challenges together by helping operators in a streamlined and proactive manner.
