BIA welcomes the finalisation of the Scarborough Harbour Master Plan which Transport and Main Roads released last week.
BIA Advocacy's Neil Patchett said the plan was long in the making and was much improved on earlier versions, but noted there is more work to do to ensure the best outcomes for recreational boating and the marine industry.
The master plan demonstrates support for a growing marine industry, while enhancing the function and quality of the harbour, elevating the harbour's recreation and tourism role with a 'destination' approach.
BIA is setting up further meetings with TMR later this year to discuss opportunities arising from the plan.
