The latest sales trends report for the pre-owned boat market, part of NMMA's 2023 U.S. Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract, is now available for download. Pre-owned boat sales dropped to 940,496 units in 2023, following a pandemic-driven surge, and represented 78.2% of boat sales.

Outboard boats accounted for 64% of all pre-owned boat sales. Sterndrive boats and personal watercraft also held significant shares, at 122,102 units and 136,255 units, respectively sales.
