In 2022, Elan released the long-awaited successor to its most popular and successful model, the Impression 45.1, named the Elan Impression 43. Designed by Humphreys Yacht Design, Pininfarina, and Elan, it quickly established itself as the go-to yacht for cruising sailors, their families, and even charter investors.

Now, two years after its release, the yacht will receive an updated design, increased overall length, and a shiny new name, reflecting the changes to the yacht and the historical context of the Impression line.

The Elan Impression line is known to the sailing public as a family cruiser that focuses on easy sailing, safety, and comfort on board. Over the years, the yachts have also proven to be incredibly well-built and, in their category, good performers overall. The new Impression 45 features a modern, wide-stern hull that enhances both speed and interior volume. So, what does the new Impression 45 bring in comparison to the Impression 43?

Firstly, the yacht's overall length has increased due to the addition of a fixed bowsprit. Even more windows have been added in the cockpit area, elevating the styling of the yacht and increasing the lightness of the aft cabins. Secondly, the interior salon has been adjusted to accommodate a sliding bench, increasing seating capacity, storage, and comfort when offshore.

These changes do not represent a new direction for the yacht but rather an adjustment and a response to the changing demands of the market.
