A year of success and innovation for Advanced Mechanical Solutions

by Advanced Mechanical Solutions 15 Nov 2024 07:29 PST

AMS Advanced Mechanical Solutions, a leader in mechanical solutions for the nautical sector and naval engineering services, celebrates a year marked by significant new client acquisitions, advanced product development, and a strong commitment to corporate welfare.

Thanks to the trust and satisfaction of its clients, AMS has recorded an increase in demand for the supply of technologically advanced components and systems. This year, the Company delivered the fifteenth hydraulic anchor hatch system for the wallywhy200 model by Wally and the seventh electric rolling awning system for the Benetti Yachts 600 series, with an order for seven more in progress. Ferretti Group confirmed its trust by entrusting AMS with the production of all movement systems for its flagship Riva 54 model (for four hulls) and two Custom Line Navetta 50-meter yachts. Moreover, with the assignment of handling systems for six vessels currently under construction, AMS reaffirms its role as the leading supplier for Cantiere delle Marche.

This success testifies to AMS's reliability and innovative capabilities in meeting the needs of some of the most prestigious shipyards.

New clients and important collaborations

The Italian Company, headquartered in Ancona, recently added the Amico Shipyard as a client, for whom a telescopic mast was produced in record time. Furthermore, AMS expanded its collaboration with Palumbo Superyachts, moving from the supply of awnings to the production of complete movement systems for the boats of their Isa Yachts brand.

Innovation and new technologies

Innovation remains at the heart of AMS's work. The first commissioning of a telescopic mast equipped with a patented, scratch-resistant, and self-cleaning washing system was completed at the beginning of the year for Sanlorenzo Shipyard, with excellent results. To date, several masts with this washing system have been produced, which has now become a standard feature on all AMS products. In the same spirit of innovation, the Company has designed an RGBW LED lamp for mounting on carbon poles for awnings, which is removable, battery-operated, app-controlled, and includes a carbon fibre charging case.

The commissioning of the second A-frame, an iconic product of cutting-edge engineering developed in exclusive collaboration with Cantiere delle Marche, was completed. Designed for the launching and hauling of large tenders and water toys, this crane, with a new carbon fibre design, offers increased load capacity and can lift cargo both centrally and laterally, allowing tenders and jet skis to be placed side-by-side on deck. Awning systems, as well as the handling systems for the lateral balconies and the stern door, were also produced for the same vessel.

Additionally, a new carbon fender for beach areas and garage doors has been produced, and the first three portable DAVIT cranes in carbon, Rescue-certified, have been completed, an innovation unique in the nautical sector in terms of safety.

In the field of naval engineering, AMS has completed structural design projects for prominent boats such as the Grand Soleil 65 and the new versions of the Y80 and Y90 models by Y-Yachts, offering outstanding structural engineering services and affirming itself as a leading technology partner in yacht design and construction

Team expansion and welfare initiatives

To support its ongoing growth, AMS has expanded its team and actively invests in seeking new technical talent, such as Project Managers and specialized engineers, ready to contribute with enthusiasm and expertise.

In line with AMS's commitment to corporate welfare, increased flexibility in working hours has been introduced for the Technical Department, creating a work environment that values work-life balance.

AMS invites qualified and passionate professionals to join the team to contribute to innovation in the nautical sector.

Presence at METS Trade Fair

As usual, AMS will be present at the METS Trade Fair in Amsterdam (19-21 November), the leading international exhibition for nautical supply, at stand 10.108 in the Superyacht Pavilion. During this event, AMS will preview some of its latest innovations, including the new awning lamp, and the team will be available to answer any questions or provide further details.

AMS is committed to continuing on this path of success, with the goal of further consolidating its position as a leader in the production of Advanced Mechanical Solutions and structural naval engineering services. Its dedication to innovation, combined with the constant pursuit of quality and corporate welfare, are the driving forces that enable AMS to overcome every challenge and bring the best technology to its clients.
