The deadline for the 2025 Alan J. Freedman Memorial Leadership Award nominations is quickly approaching; all entries must be submitted by this Friday, December 6.

Recipients of the NMMA Freedman Award are individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the marine accessories industry through leadership, creativity, and personal motivation. The following are categories for consideration: Marine aftermarket or OEM manufacturer, Marine representative, Member of marine-focused media, Boat dealer, Marine distributor, Marine trade association staff person.

Sail America, the trade association for the sailing industry, today announced registration is open for the 11th edition of the Sail America Industry Conference (SAIC). The three-day event, specifically geared toward sailing industry professionals, will take place at the Annapolis Yacht Club in Annapolis, MD on April 22-24. This is a full service, year-round premier private yacht club with sailboat racing, cruising for sailors and power boaters, a vigorous junior sailing program, fun and educational winter activities, social events, and first-class dining and banquet facilities.

Vision Marine Technologies Inc (Nasdaq: VMAR), a pioneer in electric marine propulsion, has entered into a milestone partnership with Massimo Marine, the marine division of Massimo Group (Nasdaq: MAMO). This collaboration will produce a fully integrated 30-foot electric pontoon platform designed for commercial and recreational markets. Denison has announced its collaboration with Mazu Yachts to represent their full line of carbon/sandwich SuperYacht Tenders 38' to 82' and their Steel/Aluminum Displacement Series 92DS, 112DS and 132DS. The central agency representation will cover the regions of Europe and the Americas. With a focus on exceptional craftsmanship, innovative design, and unparalleled performance, Mazu Yachts has gained recognition as an exclusive shipyard, producing only ten boats a year and providing particular attention to detail to each of their custom-built yachts.

Highfield Boats USA, the leading supplier of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) in America has expanded its U.S. sales network by an unprecedented 15 dealers in 2024 to support growing domestic demand for its outboard- and jet-powered RIBs. The latest dealer partner appointed to represent the Highfield Boats brand is Sea Native Boat Sales in Key West, Florida.
