The New Zealand Marina Operators Association has announced that its 2025 conference will be held from 10-12 September in Queenstown.

"Queenstown is home to one of the industry's most respected and innovative regional marinas," says NZMOA Chair Chris Galbraith. "They have done an exceptional job in Queenstown, developing an operation that provides safe berthage for commercial and private boats, respects the landscape and environment, and delivers superb functionality."

Chris also says that Queenstown is an aspirational location: "As an industry we can learn from land-based industries that provide infrastructure and share many of the same themes and faces similar challenges to our marinas and boatyards."

The event will be hosted at the Crowne Plaza in the Queenstown centre on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 September, with a tour on Friday 12 September.

"This event always covers the big issues but it's also a chance to connect, talk and learn from each other," says Chris. "We are looking forward to it."

Iraj Barabi of Queenstown Marina says: "We are thrilled that NZMOA annual conference will be held in Queenstown. NZMOA and its team have been instrumental in guiding us through various stages of development as well as operations. As proud & active members, we intend to contribute in any way we can while taking full advantage of all the resources they bring to bear."

Key planning info for conference attendees:

  • Registrations will open on nzmoa.com in the coming months but in the meantime, NZMOA recommends booking flights and accommodation as soon as possible because great deals are available right now.
