Australia's marine industry has once again been put on the map, literally. The release of the second edition of the Australian Major Haul Out, Refit & Maintenance Directory charts the country's key marine service facilities pinpointing their locations across Australia.

Produced by the Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG), this updated edition serves a comprehensive guide to marine service providers with major haul-out capabilities for commercial vessels.

Designed to connect vessel owners, captains, fleet managers and industry professionals with Australia's leading shipyards, refit facilities, and marine service providers, the Directory is an essential resource both within Australia and internationally for any vessels plying Australia's vast coastline.

Presented on a state-by-state basis, the directory lists each service's location and contact details, along with detailed technical specifications, such as haul out lift types, maximum tonnage capacities, and vessel size parameters including length, draft, and beam.

Focusing on service providers with haul-out capabilities of approximately 30 tonnes or more, the directory also includes more remote regions, where the lift capacity may vary. Additionally, it identifies locations with plans for future expansion, offering insights into Australia's growing marine infrastructure.

With 88 listings nationwide, the directory highlights key locations, including remote regions in Tasmania and Western Australia where emergency haul out locations for passing vessels are essential for protecting Australia's pristine environment.

As Australia continues to be a preferred destination for vessel maintenance and refit projects, this comprehensive guide strengthens connections between international and domestic operators, supports local businesses and enhances Australia's reputation as a leading hub for marine services.

David Good, CEO, ACMG commented; "Australia, being an island nation has thriving shipyards and significant haul out infrastructure dotted around our coastline. The Australian Commercial Marine Group has mapped and catalogued all these major facilities to make plying our waterways safer and easier for vessels."

The Australian Major Haul Out, Refit & Maintenance Directory is now available. To access a copy and explore the extensive network of services and facilities, visit the E-book here.
