Yellowfin sets a new benchmark in offshore design with the official launch of its new Centre and Rear Console models at the prestigious Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 22-25 May 2025.

Yellowfin Plate Boats is set to make a powerful impression at this year's Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, releasing two bold new console models; a new Centre Console and new Rear Console, both built from the ground up for serious offshore performance. (Available in lengths varying from 5.8m all the way to 7m).

As one of the most trusted names in Australian plate boats, Yellowfin's latest innovations deliver a no-compromise blend of industrial-strength construction, refined design, and fishability, engineered to handle the toughest conditions while turning heads on the water.

Industrial design, inside and out, both new console models now employ the Inter-Lok Core system which forms the backbone of each boat by utilising a fully welded, interlocking subframe with 2 full-height and 8 full-length stringers. Underscored by 6mm bottom sheets, this system delivers incredible hull strength and durability across years of offshore use. The refined HD-R hull provides exceptional ride comfort, stability and tracking. These technologies, alongside the self-draining decks, form the Yellowfin Advantage.

"Everything about this range has been optimised for performance, reliability, and build consistency," said Lloyd Jaber, Global Product Strategy Manager. "We've taken the same approach you'd find in industrial design & engineering, precision, repeatability, and strength applied it to every core component of these boats."

Adding to the structural pedigree is Yellowfin's signature U-Dek application available as an optional upgrade in both models. This CNC-cut, closed-cell foam flooring is designed for high-performance marine environments, offering excellent heat resistance, non-slip grip, and shock absorption underfoot.

From a design perspective, U-Dek gives each vessel a clean, seamless aesthetic that elevates the onboard experience, while reducing vibration and fatigue on long offshore runs.

"It's more than just a cosmetic finish U-Dek is part of the overall comfort and function package. It's about performance under pressure, and it adds a high-end feel from the moment you step aboard," Jaber said.

Bold new look for a new era, complementing the rugged design and premium quality is a refreshed aesthetic across the new range. For the first time, Yellowfin is offering an expanded colour palette including Sandbar, Racing Green, and Crimson Sea, three distinctive new tones, available for all over paint or side sheet application. These colours are enhanced by an all-new signature stripe design, bringing a sharp, modern edge to Yellowfin's already bold profile.

Two layouts. One purpose: offshore dominance. The new YF Centre Console delivers full walkaround fishability and expansive deck space for casting and fighting fish from every angle, while the Rear Console takes a different approach, shifting the helm rearward to unlock maximum forward deck real estate, ideal for active anglers lure fishing along the coast.

Both models feature larger / increased casting platform openings and console layouts with optional upgrades, as well as abundant storage, rod holders, and easy-access bait stations to make every trip more productive.

Fishing Edition: Functionality & Exclusivity

For anglers who demand more, both models are available in the Fishing Edition — these 'F-code' boats come equipped with advanced features such as Underwater Lights, Exploding Fish Rod Holders, Deluxe Bait Station, Deck wash, VHF radio, and more. They also carry exclusive Steel Grey U-Dek Trim & Flooring, as well as the blackout Steering Wheel which sets them apart.

Driven by dealer and customer feedback, along with insight from Yellowfin's Fishing Ambassador Michael Guest, the Fishing Edition is tailored to meet the needs of hardcore fishos without compromise.

Hand-Built. Purpose-Built. Australian-Made.

Every Yellowfin Plate Boat is constructed by a dedicated team of boat builders on the Gold Coast, undergoing over 150 hours of fabrication and four stringent quality assurance checks to ensure each vessel upholds the brand's reputation for quality and longevity.

"This launch is a true milestone for the brand — a reflection of what's possible when you combine innovation, customer focus, and decades of offshore experience," said Jaber. "These centre consoles are built to go the distance, and we're proud to debut them at SCIBS."
