Following the enthusiastic response to last year's event, the Get Onboard Boat Expo is returning for an exciting encore this June. Hosted in collaboration with Yachtshare and Freedom Boat Club Brisbane, the expo will take place on Friday 27 June (3pm-7pm) and Saturday 28 June (10am-5pm) at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron in Manly.

This vibrant, community-focused event offers an engaging alternative to larger-scale boat shows. Designed to inspire both seasoned mariners and curious newcomers, the expo will showcase a curated selection of vessels, marine services, and educational opportunities in a relaxed, accessible atmosphere.

Highlights of the Event Include:

  • On-land exhibits on the RQYS Main Rigging Lawn featuring trailer boats, boating accessories, and maritime industry providers.
  • On-water showcases at RQYS' berths (A/B Row), displaying luxury and syndicate vessels across sailing and power categories.
"Sanctuary Cove is a major event, but we've found that smaller expos create deeper engagement," said a spokesperson for Yachtshare. "By hosting multiple events each year - in Winter and Summer - we hope to grow a more connected and confident boating community."

The Get Onboard Boat Expo is free to attend, and exhibitor fees are kept minimal to encourage wide participation. Expressions of interest from marine brands, sailing schools, gear suppliers, and boating businesses are now open for the Summer event to be held in November.

Whether you're looking to buy your first boat, expand your marine knowledge, or connect with others who love the water - this is your chance to get onboard.
