Beneteau unveils the new Oceanis 47 - Built on legacy, enhanced for today

by Beneteau Group 25 Jun 13:54 PDT

Timeless elegance meets expert design. The Oceanis 47 is the result of a partnership between Finot-Conq and Nauta Yacht Design, and it expertly captures the DNA of the Oceanis line.

Building on nearly 40 years of trusted know-how, this cruising yacht marries sleek design, luxurious comfort, and marine innovations for ocean sailing. True to the BENETEAU spirit, the Oceanis 47 delivers the perfect blend of performance and onboard comfort, giving ocean lovers the freedom to explore the world confidently.

The second of a new generation of Oceanis cruising yachts, the Oceanis 47 is the product of the expert craftsmanship of a passionate team attuned to the needs of today's sailors. For over two years, through constant dialogue with a panel of BENETEAU owners, our network of distributors - the largest worldwide - and charter companies, we have tracked evolving sailing habits to reimagine a cruiser more closely aligned with current uses, more comfortable and always centred on the sailor. By putting the sailor's experience first, this approach has led to a more capable and better designed cruising yacht.

Building on experience to innovate

You will love the Oceanis 47 for its sleek aft lines and the perfect balance of its elegant profile. The pronounced chine gives the cruising yacht a sporty feel, while the generously proportioned cockpit made possible by the full beam design extending to the transom - a Finot-Conq hull feature - provides unparalleled living space aboard.

Offering more space and a better layout than its predecessors, the cockpit is now the ultimate gathering spot, designed for effortless manoeuvring and real comfort under sail or at anchor. Every detail on deck has been designed to bring people together without ever compromising on safety.

The L-shaped cockpit features comfortable seating and two large tables that open up the space, allowing easy access and a relaxed flow throughout.

The choice of a closed cockpit makes for safer sailing, particularly for families, providing extra aft seating, complete with storage lockers, creating a versatile area that can easily be used as an outdoor galley with a plancha grill, while the open cockpit offers ample and direct access to the sea.

Relaxation comes naturally on the Oceanis 47, with sunbathing areas aft of the cockpit and on either side of the companionway. This spacious design means that everyone can take time for themselves or enjoy being together throughout the day.

The teams at BENETEAU have placed an emphasis on protection, with biminis - available in fixed or folding versions - designed to improve the crew's comfort significantly in all weather conditions.

Every detail counts, every moment can be shared

The Oceanis 47 comes in several layouts. The owner version features three cabins and two heads, a real chart table, delivering exceptional comfort, with a focus on interior details creating a luxurious atmosphere.

The Elegance Pack creates a warm, sophisticated atmosphere: solid Alpi wood saloon table, owner's bed with upholstered headboard, smoked mirrors at the back of the bookcase, pleated blinds in the saloon and tasteful trim details on certain pieces of furniture - all thoughtfully chosen to enhance the space with understated elegance.

The living space is generous and bright, perfect for entertaining, cooking, reading or just peacefully relaxing and gazing out to sea. The Corian worktop combines a modern style with outstanding durability, making it ideal for long-term use.

Life indoors that resonates with you

Centrally positioned in this elegant interior, the owner's suite offers a true heaven of comfort. Bright and spacious, it is generously proportioned and has detailed trims creating a distinctly premium onboard experience. The 160 cm double bed, featuring an upholstered headboard, offers a welcoming place to rest, while ample storage - including two hanging lockers, spacious coaming compartments, and a large drawer under the bed - make it easy to keep things shipshape.

During the day, large portholes flood the cabin with natural light and offer uninterrupted sea views. At night, gentle, adjustable lighting creates a cosy atmosphere perfect for unwinding.

You can personalise your interiors to match your style with a choice of three trim atmospheres. Sunset brings a Mediterranean feel with warm terracotta and sandy tones. Pacific captures the essence of the tranquil lagoon, with clean lines, soft white light, and the calm of a summer day spent in a cove with clear waters. Ivory delivers timeless elegance through soft, natural beige tones.

The sea in all simplicity

The Oceanis 47 is all about the joy of sailing. Easy to handle and with a wide choice of layouts available, this fast, high-performance cruising yacht can be tailored to any sailing program. The standard version is fitted with an in-mast furling system and a self-tacking jib, making for excellent manoeuvrability, even with a small crew. For sailors looking for more excitement, the First Line Pack features a taller mast and larger sail area, unlocking the yacht's full performance potential in all points of sail.

Every detail of the helm station's ergonomics has been carefully designed to meet sailors' needs, with safety, performance, and clear visibility in mind. The consoles house 12-inch screens for clear, precise navigation data. Everything is within easy reach, from the windlass and winches to the engine controls, making manoeuvring a breeze.

A sailing yacht for long cruises

The BENETEAU brand has designed the boat for life on board: a gathering of friends, a solitary nap, a week or a year of sailing. Designed for long-term cruising, the Oceanis 47 can carry much more than just the essentials.
