NMMA Canada hosts successful 2025 Day on the Hill, building momentum for repeal of luxury tax

NMMA Canada wrapped another highly successful Day on the Hill in Ottawa this month, bringing together industry leaders, government officials, and policymakers to advance priorities critical to Canada's recreational boating sector. The central message this year was clear: the luxury tax is harming Canadian manufacturing and putting middle-class jobs at risk—and it must be repealed.
Over the course of two days, NMMA Canada's Board of Directors and members participated in a series of high-level meetings with Members of Parliament, senators, senior government officials, and political staff. The discussions focused on the negative economic impacts of the luxury tax, as well as emerging concerns around potential tariffs that could further undermine the global competitiveness of Canada's marine manufacturers.
