Australian football great, fishing icon and official ambassador for the 2025 Sydney Boat Show, Andrew 'ET' Ettingshausen shares his top highlights for the upcoming four-day event.

From the latest in boating gear and expert sailing tips to family-friendly attractions, he's diving into everything that makes this year's show a must-see.

For the first time, the show will take over Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park, running from 14 to 17 August 2025, and will feature 21,000m" of indoor exhibition space packed with marine innovation, fishing gear, family fun, and expert-led education.

Throughout the event, ET will make special guest appearances to share his years of knowledge from life on the water, including stories from his long-running Network Ten series, Escape Fishing with ET. One of Australia's most beloved fishing shows, Escape Fishing with ET takes viewers on thrilling adventures to remote and spectacular fishing spots across the country.

ET's Top Six Must-Sees at the 2025 Sydney Boat Show:

  1. The Anaconda Main Stage. Catch live fishing presentations, tackle tips, and mouth-watering seafood cooking demos from some of Australia's top anglers and celebrity chefs.

  2. The Demonstration Pool. See on-water action up close—from paddle sports to product launches—in a high-energy space where curiosity meets innovation.

  3. Boating Safety Zone. Connect with Transport for NSW and their maritime partners to get the latest safety advice and interactive demonstrations for all things boating. Then for a fun twist take on friends and family in the lifejacket challenge!

  4. Fishing Supertank. Join fishing expert Michael "Cookie" Cook at the massive Fishing Supertank for daily casting and fishing demos that inspire anglers of all levels.

  5. Riverina Avenue Outdoor Precinct. Explore an open-air showcase of marine and lifestyle brands. Then kick back at the laid-back Garden Bar with food trucks, live music, and exclusive appearances by ET himself.

  6. Family Fun Zone. With colourful face painting, hands-on games, and marine-themed activities, kids of all ages will find plenty to explore and enjoy.

General admission tickets are $19 (plus booking fee) and children under 16 enter free when accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets purchased before 31 July, will also go into the draw to win $5,000 in 'Boat Show Dollars' to spend with a Show exhibitor.

Sydney Olympic Park, located 14 kilometres from the Sydney CBD, is easily accessible by public transport, including trains, metro, and buses. As a bonus for visitors, tickets to the Sydney Boat Show include travel on trains, metro, and light rail services throughout the event.
