Labor Secretary visits South Carolina Boat Builder, underscoring importance of U.S. manufacturing

Last week, U.S. Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer visited NMMA member company Stingray Boats in Hartsville, South Carolina, for a firsthand look at American marine manufacturing in action. The visit—joined by U.S. Congressman Russell Fry (SC-07)—highlighted the critical role of the recreational boating industry in supporting skilled jobs, small businesses, and economic growth across the country.
As Secretary Chavez-DeRemer toured the facility, she met with local workers, discussed workforce development, and saw up close the craftsmanship behind the American-made boats that power the $230 billion marine economy.
