The 2025 ILCA Senior European Championships & Open European Trophy kicked off today in Marstrand, Sweden, with the first day dedicated to registration and equipment inspection.

From August 9th to 16th, 288 sailors from 45 countries –including 32 European nations – are expected to compete across the ILCA 7, ILCA 6 Women and ILCA 6 Men classes.

A key update for 2025 is the introduction of an Under 23 category in the Olympic classes, which brings six additional medals to the championship. This provides a new platform for rising stars to shine alongside established champions.

Racing is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 11th at 11:00. The full event program is as follows, with the schedule subject to change. Any updates will be communicated to competitors daily.
