The Yacht Racing Forum is delighted to announce SailGP, the most exciting racing on water, as an official event partner for its 2025 edition, taking place in Amsterdam on November 20–21. This landmark partnership brings together the world’s most dynamic racing league with the sport’s premier annual conference, dedicated to the business and future of yacht racing.
Founded by Russell Coutts and Larry Ellison in 2019, SailGP set out to redefine the future of the sport. SailGP is a nation versus nation, close-to-shore, high speed, high tech racing championship like no other. Racing faster than the wind at speeds exceeding 100 km/h, the championship is driven by the sport’s top athletes, with national pride, personal glory, and bonus prize money of US$12 million at stake.
“We are proud to welcome SailGP as our partner”, said Bernard Schopfer, CEO of the Yacht Racing Forum. “SailGP’s innovative format has revolutionised competitive sailing and inspired a new generation of fans and stakeholders. Yacht Racing Forum participants will gain valuable insights from SailGP’s groundbreaking approach and strategies, and can look forward to inspiring presentations backed by concrete, actionable information."
Russell Coutts, CEO of SailGP, added: “We’re looking forward to joining the next edition of the Yacht Racing Forum — a valuable opportunity to connect with leading events, brands, and stakeholders from across the wider industry."
The 2025 Yacht Racing Forum will welcome over 300 influential stakeholders, including athletes, class associations, technical suppliers, sponsors, yacht clubs, and event organisers. Set in the heart of Amsterdam, within the Metstrade show, the event promises two days of insightful discussions, business development, and networking, actively contributing to the promotion of competitive sailing worldwide.
