Congressman Adam Gray tours Centurion & Supreme Boats in California

NMMA recently organized a tour of Centurion & Supreme Boats’ operations in Merced, California with Rep. Adam Gray (D-CA-13) and his staff. The visit provided an in-depth look at Centurion & Supreme Boats’ long-standing manufacturing presence in California and highlighted the critical role the marine industry plays in the state's economy, along with key challenges and solutions facing the sector.
During the meeting, Centurion & Supreme’s team showcased the company’s 50-year boat building legacy in the region and highlighted how the company is navigating the current business environment.
Additionally, the group had a robust discussion on the importance of stopping and reversing the spread of the newly introduced aquatic invasive species in California – the Golden Mussel – which has a led to a number of access closures and 30-day waits for boaters to enter certain access points. This topic is particularly relevant as Rep. Gray sits on the House Natural Resources Committee.
