The Superyacht Coating Conference will make its timely return to Metstrade 2025, a premier event for leaders and experts in the superyacht coating industry. The conference will be held from 18-19 November 2025 at RAI Amsterdam, co-located with Metstrade and The Superyacht Forum.

Organised by Metstrade in partnership with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) and the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss), the B2B event will enable professionals to stay abreast of the latest legislation, tools and standardised procedures relevant to superyacht coatings.

With a maximum of 250 invited guests, the intimate event will be a leading platform for senior professionals to connect, share knowledge, and collaborate on solutions for the industry's most pressing technical and regulatory challenges.

The conference will offer an unparalleled platform to connect coating brands with the superyacht industry, providing exclusive networking opportunities and deep technical focus. It will address the most pressing topics in the sector, spark crucial dialogue, and deliver actionable insights.

Event programme

The interactive approach of the conference will explore the latest developments in legislation, ISO standards, and sustainability, examine coatings from an owner's perspective, and present advances in coating inspection, advisor certification, and dispute resolution. The event programme will also explore future requirements in international standards and guidelines, innovations in surface preparation, paint materials, and application techniques, as well as new coating-related legislation, Anti-Fouling coatings, and comprehensive quality assurance measures.

In addition, the programme will feature useful advice from numerous speakers on a wide range of topics. They will come from renowned organisations and businesses throughout the superyacht sector and include Albert Willemsen, ICOMIA's environment consultant.

Attendees will also have unparalleled networking opportunities due to the conference's strategic alignment with The Superyacht Forum, allowing broader industry connections during the networking moments.

Niels Klarenbeek, Director of Metstrade, said: "The topic of superyacht coatings remains one of the greatest challenges facing the new build and refit yards. The Superyacht Coating Conference is an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and expertise among those who have a passion for creating perfection in paint. The changing landscape in the superyacht industry makes this the essential time to organise this conference again."

The Superyacht Coating Conference 2025 is supported by key industry players, including AkzoNobel, Hempel, BAE Systems Inc, MB92, Pettit Paint, De Koning Group, and Wrede Consulting GmbH, with several more to be confirmed. The event will be held every two years and run alongside Metstrade and The Superyacht Forum at RAI Amsterdam.

The Superyacht Coating Conference 2025 will take place from 18-19 November 2025 at RAI Amsterdam. For more information, visit here.
