Important Information for NZ Marina Operations – New Proposed Electrical Standards

Standards New Zealand has advised that two draft standards are open for commenting.

These are:

  • Standard: DR AS/NZS 3004.1:2025 Electrical installations - Marinas and boats, Part 1: Marinas (Click here)
  • DR AS/NZS 3004.2:2025 Electrical installations - Marinas and boats, Part 2: Boat installations (Click here)
Comments close on 17 November 2025. You will need to register for a free account with Standards Australia to view the documents.

To inform our feedback, NZMOA has arranged a webinar at 1pm on 15 October 2025.

Join review committee member Brett Colby of Half Moon Bay Marina, Standards Committee Chair for AS/NZS3004 review Dave Potter, and members of the NZMOA executive in a session to discuss the proposals, the changes, and the implications of those changes for marinas in New Zealand.
