Introducing the all-new Leopard 52

by Leopard Catamarans 15 Oct 16:33 PDT

Leopard Catamarans is proud to announce the launch of the all-new Leopard 52, the most versatile cruising catamaran in her class.

Designed for blue-water passage making, long-term liveaboard comfort, and unforgettable cruising experiences, the Leopard 52 is built to adapt to every lifestyle on the water — from adventurous ocean crossings to relaxed coastal cruising.

Carrying forward the DNA of her award-winning predecessor, the Leopard 50, the Leopard 52 takes innovation, performance, and style to new heights. Her design delivers a seamless indoor-outdoor flow with stackable sliding doors, allowing effortless movement between the salon, aft cockpit, and the signature forward lounge with watertight door providing safe foredeck access and excellent natural ventilation, a hallmark of the Leopard line.

Naval architects Simonis Voogd have optimized the Leopard 52 for performance and ease of handling. The powerful rig, overlapping genoa, and stepped hull design ensure agile handling and steady cruising in all conditions. The rig has been upgraded with a taller mast and longer boom, offering 17% more upwind sail area than the Leopard 50. The lowered boom also improves access to the stack-pack for safer sail handling. Performance sail options include square-top mainsail and Code 0 in Ulman's Aramid fabric—capable of exceeding true wind speed.

Leopard's signature protected helm station allows single-handed sailing with all lines leading aft. The upgraded twin-seat helm provides superior visibility, ergonomic comfort, and easy access to both social areas and controls.

From the solar-ready hardtop to the optional hybrid-electric propulsion system, every detail supports energy efficiency, reduced emissions, and long-term self-sufficiency at sea.

A built-in roof platform supports up to 1,600W of flush-mounted solar panels, seamlessly integrated into the coach roof and connected to the onboard battery bank—minimizing generator use and maximizing energy independence. With 10 layout options, owners can tailor the Leopard 52 to their exact cruising style, whether for private ownership, or charter operations with The Moorings.

The Leopard 52 is now available for pre-order, with deliveries scheduled for 2026, both in Australia and worldwide.
