The countdown is on! Registrations are officially open for the third edition of World Boating Day (WBD) 2026 on 23 May, the global celebration that brings together the boating community, maritime enthusiasts, and curious newcomers to explore life on the water.

Following two record-breaking years, WBD 2026 is set to be bigger, bolder, and more inclusive than ever. Early registrations are already rolling in from around the world, including leading organisations such as Maritime UK, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), Mengy Yay Yachts, Capsea Yachting, and Septemar.

This year, World Boating Day expands its reach, welcoming sailing schools and maritime museums to the initiative for the first time. This expansion will give more people than ever access to boating experiences, education, and maritime heritage, transforming WBD into a truly inclusive and educational celebration.

"As we open registrations for WBD 2026, the enthusiasm from the global boating community is palpable," said Dilan Sarac, Executive Director of The Superyacht Life Foundation. "This year, we're inviting even more people to discover boating, maritime culture, and the incredible opportunities connected to life on the water. With sailing schools and maritime museums joining the initiative, WBD continues to evolve into an unforgettable global moment for the industry and the public alike."

Partner spotlight - SCIBS:

"Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show continues to strengthen its position as a must-attend global boating event, and our alignment with World Boating Day reinforces that international focus," said Corey Rattray-Wood, Head of Events at Mulpha Events Pty Ltd (SCIBS). "With World Boating Day landing on our biggest day, Saturday, it creates a powerful moment to connect the global boating community with Australia's premier on-water showcase. SCIBS 2026 will be bigger, more immersive, and more globally relevant than ever, featuring world-first and regional product launches alongside unparalleled access to leading brands, innovation, and lifestyle experiences."

Don't miss out! First-wave registrations close 31 March 2026, so secure your place in this worldwide celebration of boating, heritage, and the joys of life on the water.

World Boating Day 2026 will be celebrated on 23 May, with events taking place throughout the week of 18-24 May.
