Bay Rider Boats - an independent boatbuilder with a more than 50-year history in producing inshore/offshore bay boats, skiffs, and center consoles - debuted its all-new 2260FS Skiff as an early introduction for the 2027MY. This marks the second new model introduction in its skiff line-up in less than a year.
"In our former KenCraft days we built a 2260FS and revamped it over the years," said Bay Rider Boats Owner Bob Brunson. "When we introduced our all-new 2460FS mid last year, we were already in development on the new 2260FS. Same proven hull design we're known for, but we went back to the drawing board on the deck layout and came out with what we believe is a home run for this size model. Our skiffs are built tough like tanks, ride smooth like a luxury vehicle, turn on a dime like a jet ski, and do all this while keeping you dry like no other model in its class," added Brunson.
The 2260FS measures 22' long, with a beam of 8' 4". It boasts a 10" draft with the boat loaded with crew and fuel and has Yamaha horsepower offerings from 150-200HP.
This self-bailing, hand-laid model has notable standard features including a large forward casting platform with molded step and storage; ample rod storage with (8) Mate Series rod holder/cup holder combos with drains to the deck, (6) total recessed horizontal rod storage in the gunnels, and (6) vertical rod holders between the aft jump seats; bronze thru-hulls with shutoff valves; (2) livewells w/ recirculating aerators - a 15 gallon at the console and a 22 gallon located under the port aft jumpseat; Garmin 1243XSV reverse/flush mounted on the matte black anti-glare/fingerprint & scratch resistant/UV stable dash; Wet Sounds stereo w/ speakers; and grey deluxe extra-padded upholstery on seat cushions and backrests.
Notable options include four upgradable options to the standard 38" leaning post; three-piece bow lounge cushion and two additional backrests for added forward seating comfort; a second Garmin 1243XSV; Lumitec underwater lights; and seven hull color options to choose from.
"While we're not just a skiff boatbuilder with our other bay boat and deep-V center console offerings, we do pride ourselves on being a go-to high quality brand for the shallow water market and want to constantly provide the best models we possibly can for our discerning buyers," added Brunson.
Bay Rider Boats produces ten bay boat, skiff, and center console models ranging from 21'-26'. With a 52,000 sq-ft manufacturing facility in Wilson, North Carolina, the company is known for making some of the highest quality, dryest boats out on the water. The company is trusted by families and enforcement officials alike for producing a well-built, reliable product year after year.
