Canadian marine technology company iNav4U today announced the launch of its Nordic subsidiary, iNav4U Nordic AS, based in Norway, marking the company's formal expansion into the broader Scandinavian market and establishing its operational footprint across North America and Europe.
The new subsidiary will serve Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland, bringing Zora 3.0, the company's next-generation open operating system for yachts, to one of the world's most technologically advanced boating regions. The move represents a significant milestone in iNav4U's global growth strategy as the Nova Scotia-based company evolves from a Canadian startup into an international marine technology platform provider.
Led by Kim Dahlstrøm, CEO of iNav4U Nordic AS, the subsidiary is structured as a permanent regional operation focused on dealer development, strategic partnerships, and long-term market support across Scandinavia.
"Norway is one of the most sophisticated boating markets in the world," said Brenda Robinson, COO and Co-Founder of iNav4U. "Nordic boaters expect intelligent, integrated systems. They value innovation, safety, and engineering excellence. That aligns perfectly with who we are and what Zora represents."
Zora 3.0 is designed as an open-protocol operating system for yachts, unifying navigation, onboard systems, automation, data management, and situational awareness into a single intelligent interface. Unlike conventional chartplotters, Zora is built as a scalable platform designed to evolve with the vessel and integrate seamlessly with third-party systems.
The establishment of iNav4U Nordic AS is not a reseller agreement but a fully structured subsidiary, reinforcing the company's long-term commitment to the Scandinavian market and strengthening its European presence.
"iNav4U Nordic is a strategic cornerstone of our global expansion," Robinson added. "We are investing in local leadership, local dealer relationships, and regional support. This is about building a permanent footprint in Scandinavia."
Dahlstrøm emphasized the regional opportunity: "The Nordic market is ready for a new approach to marine technology. Boaters here are highly technical, forward-thinking, and expect systems that work together seamlessly. Zora delivers something fundamentally different - a unified, intelligent platform instead of fragmented electronics. I'm proud to lead iNav4U Nordic AS and bring this technology to Scandinavia."
In support of the expansion, iNav4U will officially introduce Zora 3.0 and iNav4U Nordic AS to Scandinavian boaters and industry partners at Allt för Sjön - the Stockholm International Boat Show, taking place March 5-8 and March 12-15, 2026, at Stockholmsmässan.
The Nordic subsidiary follows the company's accelerated global dealer rollout announced in late 2025. With operations now spanning two continents, iNav4U is also working toward establishing additional subsidiaries in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States as part of its broader international growth strategy.
"Our vision is global," said Robinson. "We are building the operating system for yachts worldwide — and the Nordic region is a critical step in that journey."
iNav4U is headquartered in Nova Scotia, Canada, and develops Zora - an open, intelligent operating system that unifies navigation, automation, monitoring, and yacht management into a single integrated platform for modern vessels.
