The yachting world welcomes La Ciotat Yacht Rigging as a new key player in the La Ciotat shipyard.
Combining a commitment to local tradition with a vision for the future, this entity is set to usher in a new era of development, performance, sustainability and high-end service for yachts and superyachts based or refitted in the Mediterranean.
A comprehensive range of services for superyachts, motor yachts, grand prix race yachts and classic sailing boats
The new company was established in September 2025 and took over the renowned business of Rogi Yacht Rigging, founded in 2009 by former Swiss offshore racer Gérald Rogivue.
La Ciotat Yacht Rigging offers a wide range of services, including the supply and installation of standing and running rigging, and the complete refit of masts and rigging on all types of sailing boats, whether classic or modern.
The motor yacht department is involved in everything from supplying mooring lines to manufacturing lifting slings, winch cables, towlines and technical equipment.
Located in the heart of La Ciotat shipyard, a major centre for refitting and large pleasure craft, La Ciotat Yacht Rigging is ideally placed to support owners, captains and shipyards with their most challenging projects. The company's objective is clear: providing each yacht with a service that matches its performance, environmental requirements and prestige.
Experienced buyers set to inject new momentum into La Ciotat Yacht Rigging
At the helm of La Ciotat Yacht Rigging are three leading figures in the international rigging industry.
Jacques Lasnier, a renowned entrepreneur in sailing and ocean racing, runs Iroise Rigging and Tonnerre Gréement in Lorient. Through this acquisition, he continues his strategy of establishing a presence in major French sailing centres, combining the expertise he has acquired in the Atlantic with the vitality of the Mediterranean basin.
Guillaume Gielda, a long-standing partner of Gérald Rogivue's and a leading figure in Mediterranean rigging. He continues the adventure with passion and expertise.
Blair Hogg, a New Zealand specialist in high-performance rigging, is bringing international and technological expertise to the project. He is drawing on his extensive experience at Southern Spars and Rig Pro, following two America's Cup campaigns.
This highly qualified team is supported by partnerships with the industry's leading brands: BSI Rigging, Cousin, Futurefibres, Gleistein, Gottifredi Maffioli, Harken, Karver, Wichard Group brands (Axxon Composites, Facnor, Lorima, Profurl, Ronstan, Sparcraft), Navtec and Reckmann.
