Lürssen will present a selection of its latest deliveries at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, showcasing the diversity of design and breadth of size that defines the German shipyard. The largest yacht on display at this year's show will also be a Lürssen.
Specialists in the construction and refit of large custom yachts from 70 metres and above, Lürssen has been building yachts for more than 150 years. A family-owned company now in its fourth generation, it has built and delivered some of the most iconic yachts currently in operation. Engineering innovation has defined Lürssen since its founding in 1875, and has attracted clients from the Americas for more than 100 years.
On display at the Palm Beach International Boat Show will be the 78.4-metre ROCINANTE, delivered in 2008 and subsequently refitted by Lürssen. Her exterior styling by Espen Øino International has proven timeless. She is being presented by Y.CO. At the Lürssen stand, models of four recent deliveries will be on show: the 78.2-metre ODISEA, the 82-metre Haven, the 142.08-metre DRAGONFLY, and a 102.4-metre yacht (hull No 13785) which is close to delivery this summer. Each was designed and engineered to the exacting specifications of its owner. No two yachts that leave the shipyard are ever the same. Lürssen is a true custom builder.
What connects them is engineering excellence, exceptional project management, and world-class craftsmanship. The Lürssen fleet is also defined by bespoke and architecturally ambitious glass solutions, and the three models are testament to this. ODISEA introduces a novel Beach House concept, whereby a traditional main salon is replaced by a glass-encased lounge. Another new build features an industry first of its own: a semi-suspended six-metre-wide glass pool that extends over the swim platform, conceived as an architectural space rather than a standalone amenity.
DRAGONFLY goes further still. She is the first yacht built without traditional glass stiffeners - the metal fittings required by Class and Flag to support and secure glass panels. Without them, her windows and glass doors are truly seamless, visually indistinguishable from one another, lending a distinctive architectural clarity to the exterior. Lürssen is the only shipyard in the world with Class certification to build yacht windows and sliding doors without stiffeners. Glass and steel are constructed simultaneously; the windows are not an afterthought. This is a design directive that only Lürssen clients can benefit from.
"Lürssen has long been the quiet leader in innovation and technical achievements in yacht building," says Timothy Hamilton, Director Lürssen Americas. "In recent history, we have seen the number of yachts we are building for the US market grow substantially. Each project benefits from the development of the previous one, resulting in complex, sophisticated yachts! We look forward to meeting you at the Palm Beach Boat Show to discuss in more detail."
This month alone Lürssen has delivered two new build yachts: the 78.2-metre ODISEA and the 134.22-metre MY DEEP BLUE, the largest yacht of 2026. Several more Lürssen deliveries are scheduled throughout the year.
Lürssen Refit & Services has been equally active on both sides of the Atlantic. The shipyard operates one of the world's largest refit centres, with its main hub in Hamburg spanning 451,000 square metres, comprising a large dry dock, six floating docks, and 2,100 metres of pier length. The site has recently welcomed close to half a kilometre of yachts for major refits, with a combined volume exceeding 25,000 GT - comparable to the scale of Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The portfolio spans large motor and sailing yachts, both Lürssen-built and from other yards.
Much like the new build division, Lürssen Refit & Services specialises in large, complex, and technically ambitious projects for yachts 70 metres and above. Recent highlights include the installation of a state-of-the-art diesel-electric propulsion system into a vessel with more than two decades of operational history, and the installation of a folding mast that can reduce the height by nearly 6 meters.
Lürssen's Fast Operations and Repair Unit (FORU) has been extensively active across the Americas over the past year. Available around the clock and deployable worldwide, the team inspects, manages, and maintains the large global fleet, irrespective of where they were originally built, and wherever they are: at sea, at anchor, or at layberth. It is yet another element of a complete end-to-end ownership offering.
The Lürssen team from both new build and refit will be available throughout the show. Appointments can be arranged to discuss the latest news and developments from the shipyard.
