The African Boating Conference is pleased to announce the return of FFS Africa as an official sponsor for ABC 2026, taking place on 20-21 October at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
As Africa's marine and superyacht sectors continue to expand, the importance of maritime infrastructure, fuel security and operational capability has become increasingly central to the conversation around sustainable industry growth. FFS Africa's continued involvement reflects both its long-standing position within Southern Africa's maritime ecosystem and its commitment to supporting the future of the continent's boating economy.
Established in 1974, FFS has evolved into a diversified energy and marine fuels business operating across industrial energy, bunkering, storage and hydrocarbon services. Through its marine division, FFS Marine, the company supports commercial and superyacht operations across multiple Southern African ports.
As Africa positions itself more competitively within the global marine and superyacht sectors, companies such as FFS are becoming increasingly integral to enabling vessel movement, operational efficiency and long-range cruising capability throughout the region.
Veda Pretorius, organiser of the African Boating Conference, said: "Africa's boating and maritime sectors cannot grow without the operational systems that support them. Reliable fuel supply, port capability and marine services are all essential components of a functioning marine ecosystem. There have been concerns about fuel supply for yachts travelling to the region but FFS have assured us they have enough to supply demand. FFS plays an important role in that environment and we are delighted to welcome them back as a sponsor for ABC 2026."
The 2026 conference theme, Boating as a Catalyst for Economic Growth, will explore marina and waterfront development, marine tourism, superyacht destination growth, infrastructure investment and regional collaboration.
FFS Marine currently supplies marine fuel solutions to both local and international vessels and has invested in bunkering infrastructure supporting operations in Cape Town and other Southern African ports.
Their participation reinforces the importance of cross-sector collaboration between marine services, infrastructure providers, tourism stakeholders and government institutions in unlocking the economic potential of Africa's coastal regions.
The African Boating Conference continues to serve as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange and strategic development, bringing together marina developers, government stakeholders, investors, tourism leaders and marine businesses from across Africa and internationally.
FFS Africa's return as a sponsor highlights the growing momentum behind Africa's marine sector and the importance of operational partners in enabling the industry's long-term success.
