MG is charting an exciting new course in 2026 as the official automotive partner of the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) and the British Sailing Team.

The partnership brings together two iconic brands united by a shared passion for adventure and freedom - whether on the open road or open water. Rooted in a common ambition to inspire exploration and participation, the collaboration also reflects a strong, mutual commitment to sustainability and responsible innovation.

Sailors and sailing enthusiasts will see the MG logo featured on British Sailing Team sails, on apparel worn by athletes and their support teams, and across the RYA website.

MG's extensive range of hybrid and electric vehicles are designed to carry everything needed for a boating trip, making them a perfect match for RYA members and more than 270,000 people undertaking some form of RYA training every year.

"Grassroots sailing in the UK represents a vibrant and widely embraced community, and it aligns closely with MG's spirit as a forward-thinking mainstream brand focused on delivering better cars for everyday life," said Guy Pigounakis, Commercial Director, MG UK.

"Our expanding portfolio of hybrid and electric vehicles reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, while providing the space, comfort and advanced technology that today's sailors expect. We look forward to strengthening our presence within the sailing community and seeing even more MG vehicles supporting boating events across the UK."

Sara Sutcliffe, RYA CEO commented "We are delighted to welcome MG as the RYA's official automotive partner. Its commitment to sustainable innovation aligns perfectly with our vision for a cleaner, more environmentally responsible future for boating. We appreciate MG's support over the coming years and look forward to the positive impact our collaboration will deliver."

RYA members will enjoy access to the MG Affinity Scheme through this partnership, offering savings against the purchase of a new MG. There are full details in the Member Benefits section of the RYA website www.rya.org.uk
