North Sails opens a new Mediterranean Loft in Fréjus, France

A new Fréjus loft to service your sails, closer to the heart of Mediterranean sailing.

After 22 years in Mouans-Sartoux, North Sails has relocated, opening a new Mediterranean repair loft in Fréjus - a bigger, better-equipped home on the Côte d'Azur. Sitting right on the motorway, 35 minutes from Saint-Tropez, around an hour and a quarter from La Ciotat, and within easy reach of Cannes, Nice and the wider coast.

The new loft expands the scope of what the team can take on. At roughly 700 m² it dwarfs the previous location, Fréjus can now service sails for yachts of 130 feet and beyond. Two rotating sewing pits and an overhead crane mean even the largest, heaviest sails can be easily moved and worked on safely.

That capability is matched by the breadth of the loft's offering. From dinghy sail repairs to full superyacht inventories, the Fréjus team services sails of every type and size, supporting everyone from club racers and cruisers to multihulls, classic yachts, and superyachts.

Day to day, this ranges from repairs and routine maintenance to upgrades and full inventory refurbishments. The loft also provides secure, dry, and climate-controlled storage for sail 'wintering'—a service that remains relatively rare in the Mediterranean and meets growing demand from both owners and yacht management companies.

For owners along the French Riviera, the real value is having North Sails close at hand. The Fréjus loft is somewhere to drop in, talk through a new sail or repair with the sales team in person, and know that expert service is only a short drive from the shore. Owners weighing up a new inventory can also start a new-sail quote with the team in person — material, design and budget talked through face-to-face.

The ambition is twofold: to look after North Sails' long-standing cruising and club-racing clients, while building on the loft's new strength with larger yachts. "We aim to become a key strategic alternative between Palma and Italy for the superyacht and classic yacht markets," says Laurent Mahy, Loft Manager. The doors in Fréjus are open!
