Andrew Scott, BIA CFO and International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) Treasurer, met with ICOMIA CEO Joe Lynch, in Singapore to review 2026 ICOMIA accounts and 2026 forecast, and to prepare a 2027 budget, considering new projects and events, including;
- Promotion of boating
- Divisions of ICOMIA, and Harmonisation of Standards work for industry
- Jobs and Skills
- The World Marinas Conference 2027 in Shanghai, and other membership growth opportunities.
Hosted by Arthur Tay of the Singapore Boating Industry Association (Chairman and ICOMIA Director) and owner of One15 Marina on Sentosa Island, we had the opportunity of meeting with the Singapore Association, the Indonesian Association and the Hong Kong Associations. BIA presented our work to deliver Marine Jobs, Marine Card and Access management space, along with a general business overview by way of a collaborative discussion with the three Associations about what we all manage and do for our members, and opportunities to support each other.
In this Executive role with ICOMIA, the BIA encourages and supports the efforts of AIMEX, Superyacht Australia and the Marina Industries Association who are involved in the Singapore Yachting Festival. Industry members interested in being involved in this festival should liaise with SYA CEO David Good or MIA CEO Suzanne Davies.
